Who we are
Southgate church is a non-denominational church that was planted in October 1996. We are affiliated with Ministers Fellowship International [www.mfi-online.org]. We gathered in school gyms for a number of years until we began leasing our present space in Langley City Mall. The ministry of the church has been significantly influenced by our location in the city centre.

Our passion
We are a Bible-believing, gospel-preaching church. We believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We believe that our entire existence is because of who God is and what He has done for us through Jesus. Our desire is to be growing and maturing followers of Jesus. John 8:12 “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

“Passionately loving God and committed to loving people for the cause of Christ” is our foundational statement based on the passage of scripture Mark 12:29-31: "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

God has placed us in the centre of Langley where we are engaged in reaching people of every walk of life. We are very involved with helping the marginalized and disenfranchised. We have ministries that reach almost every segment of our community. As you search our website you can see descriptions of every ministry and their strategy to reach the city.
Maple Ridge
The Maple Ridge campus has come on stream as of January 1, 2010. We meet in the Colleen Findlay Place located at 11601 Laity Street at 10 AM Sunday mornings. We are a vibrant group of people spanning all generations with a heart to see the Kingdom of God grow and advance in this community and others around the world.
