  Life Groups are not just social clubs or something we invented to take up more of your time. We believe that Life Groups are the life of the church. In Acts 2 we can see the introduction of small groups and how important they are in developing Christ-centered community. The Holy Spirit came and many people were added to the church; “the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer” (NLT, Acts 2:42). This is the type of community that we desire at Southgate. It is centered in learning more about God and His Word, hanging out with others, eating meals together and praying with one another, all for the cause of Christ.

  What better way to practice Christ-centered community than in a Life Group? We encourage you to join a group in the church. There are many different types of groups available. You can find a list of them in our Life Group Booklet which is posted every season. Please don’t hesitate to call or email with any questions you may have about Life Groups.
